Visiting Voters in Macquarie

What is visiting voters?

Visiting voters is when a team of Greens volunteers go out in their neighbourhood to speak to voters on their doorstep and listen to what is important to them. It’s a great way to connect with voters and to hear what issues people care about.

If you're new to visiting voters, you are very welcome! Every session starts with a briefing and training, and you’ll be provided with a script and other resources. You have the option of going visiting with another volunteer, and at the end there is a team debrief to get your feedback.

Before you go visiting voters, we encourage you to attend our Campaign Skills 101 trainings. This training is a workshop on the value of face-to-face conversations, learning how you can start talking with voters at events like this.

After our recent outings in Aranda and Cook, the Gininderra Team will be speaking to voters on the 3rd of April to speak and to listen to voter concerns in the area.

We will meet at Macquarie Oval on Lachlan Street for pre door-knock refresher training and meet back after to debrief.
