In the coming weeks the ACT Greens will be making phone calls to assist the Victorian Greens' election campaign.
If you want to play a key role in helping to make this happen, you can volunteer as a Call Centre Supervisor. In this role you would be responsible for welcoming participants, running a training, supervising operation of the call centre, and trouble shooting any issues. You may also want to take on responsibility for recruiting for your session as a way to increase our impact.
This training session will cover the structure of a typical callout session, how to coordinate the different elements, and the systems that we will be using. You'll learn about the training needs of volunteers, and how to make sure participants have a rewarding experience that makes them want to come back again.
Each Supervisor will be expected to supervise a session at least once a fortnight, on either a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. You will be required to arrive before the session begins, and to wrap things up afterwards, requiring roughly 3 hours from 5:15 to 8:15pm.
After your training, you will 'co-supervise' your first session alongside the experienced Joel Dignam, to help you find your feet and in case any issues arise. Then, if you feel comfortable, you will be ready to go on your own.
