Canberra Festival of Community Action

On September 21 thousands of Australians will turn out for one of the world’s largest ever days of climate action. Our message is simple - Action, Not Words. Here in Canberra, there are two events that the ACT Greens will attending and we'd love you to come to either (or both!) 

A Bike Ride with Shane (9:30am - 10:30am) 

From 9:30am in the morning, MLA Shane Rattenbury will be running a bike tour of Green solutions in Canberra. For details of the meeting point and route please RSVP hereThe bike ride will end up at the ANU for the Festival of Community Action. 

Festival of Community Action (10:30am, speeches from 11am) 

Join hundreds of others for a day of community action. You'll hear from community leaders about how you can get directly involved in vital campaigns: to save the Great Barrier Reef, Divest from Fossil Fuels, and Protect the Leard Forest from Coal. We'll share skills, discuss our vision and prepare for further action. 

When you join us on September 21, we’ll ask you to pledge to help Action win over Words by committing to exercise your political, consumer and grassroots power through these exciting campaigns. 

When: The Festival starts at 10:30am with speeches commencing at 11am.
