Mulligans Flat is an impressive place, whose rare beauty embodies several Greens values.
This much-loved nature reserve was established in 1995, following a concerted community campaign to regenerate the area's native flora and fauna.
Then, since completion of a rabbit, cat, and fox-proof fence in 2009, key groups including the ACT Government, the ANU and CSIRO have worked together to remove feral animals and reintroduce lost native species back into the area.
This work will see the biodiversity and ecological resilience of Mulligans Flat restored to levels not seen since European settlement.
On 7 November you have the chance to learn much more about this unique place via a guided walk through the reserve.
Bring along a hat, sunscreen, water and something tasty to share with the group.
Look forward to seeing you there!
