What is visiting voters?
Visiting voters is when a team of Greens volunteers go out in their neighbourhood to speak to voters on their doorstep and listen to what is important to them. It’s a great way to connect with voters and to hear what issues people care about.
If you're new to visiting voters, you are very welcome! Every session starts with a briefing and training, and you’ll be provided with a script and other resources. You have the option of going visiting with another volunteer, and at the end there is a team debrief to get your feedback.
Before you go visiting voters, we encourage you to attend our Campaign Skills 101 trainings. This training is a workshop on the value of face-to-face conversations, learning how you can start talking with voters at events like this.
The Macgregor Visiting Voters session for the 22nd of May will be hosting a training session at Dane's house at 1:30 for anyone who has yet to participate in a Visiting Voters event. Outside of that please stop buy and pick up a list in your own time. We will wrap things up at 4:30pm.
