We’re about 12 months out from two elections - our ACT Legislative Assembly election and the Federal Election. And it’s time to start planning. The “Blue Sky” event is about having your say about our priorities and our direction over the next 12 months of election preparation. We would love you to come along.
This event will be held at ANU in the "The Tank", Haydon Allen Lecture Theatre, Building 23, The Australian National University. It will be clearly marked with Greens signage.
The purpose of the ‘Blue Sky’ event is to work out our:
Priorities - we have two elections coming up, multiple candidates and a limited amount of resources. We would love to hear from all our members about what they think our priorities should be in 2016 (or earlier).
Processes - our election planning is just beginning, but in the coming months we are going to need to ramp up our efforts. What election processes do we need in place to guide us through the rest of 2015, and 2016?
Pre-selection - you can’t have an election without candidates! Thankfully we’ve got a Search Time already looking for great candidates for the party, but we need to decide on when we’re going to pre-select for the ACT Legislative Assembly and for the Federal Election.
Past lessons - this will also be an opportunity for us to share the lessons we’ve learnt from the past. Many of you shared your insights and ideas at the mid-term review and we will use them to guide some of our conversations, but April 11 will also be an opportunity for you to feed your experience into the planning process.
