On marriage equality, every vote matters: don’t delay, post your views straight away

Canberrans will soon receive a survey question asking their views on whether same-sex couples should marry. The ACT Greens today encouraged all Canberrans to complete and post their survey as soon as possible to make sure their voices are heard.

“We know the majority of Australians support marriage equality,” said Greens MLA Shane Rattenbury. “Every single vote will matter. That’s why we’re encouraging all Canberrans to keep an eye out for the survey in your mailbox.

“Don’t delay—it’s as easy as ticking a box, sealing a reply paid envelope, and putting this in a post box.”

“The Greens will take part in the survey, and say ‘yes’ for marriage equality – as every Greens MP has done, in every vote, every time,” said Greens MLA Caroline Le Couteur.
