Murrumbidgee Community Calls

What are community calls?

A community call session is a team of Greens volunteers working together to ring voters and listen to what is important to them. It’s a great way to connect with voters and to hear what issues people care about.

If you’re new to community calls, you are very welcome! Every session starts with a briefing and training, and you’ll be provided with a script and other resources. There will be a debrief at the end to get your feedback.

Before you attend a community calls session, we encourage you to attend our Campaign Skills 101 trainings. This training is a workshop on the value of face-to-face conversations, learning how you can start talking with voters at events like this.

We are back in action to support our candidates in Murrumbidgee for the ACT election on 15 October.   It’s important that we increase our representation in the Assembly in order to promote the progressive policies of the Greens, and it can be done if we get behind our hard-working candidates.  We have high hopes for lead candidate Caroline Le Couteur.

Amongst the many ways of assisting our campaign, there is strong evidence of the power of one-to-one conversations in persuading people to vote Green.

That’s why the Murrumbidgee Greens will be conduct a series of "community calls" at the campaign Field HQ in Hobart Place (or sometimes at the Greens office in Havelock House in Turner).  Each volunteer will be given a list of persons to phone and talk to about the coming elections, to learn of any issues that they may have, and perhaps recruit them to the campaign.

Please assist if you can.   Every vote can count in what may be a close contest for an Assembly seat.
